BARBARA J. TAVROW brings over 30 years’ experience to working with non-profits and is dedicated to translating their visions and missions into productive, impacting and lasting realities. Barbara has helped to guide non-profits in the U.S. and abroad, including in Israel.
Prior to founding this company, Barbara was Co-Founder of Tavrow|Lund Consulting LLC for 12 years following many years as an independent fundraising consultant in the S.F. Bay Area, Greater New York, and elsewhere. She has served on many boards including the National Board of the American Technion Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International and its Lay Review Committee, the Judah Magnes Museum, Berkeley, and the Portola Valley Schools Foundation which she helped to found. Barbara has planned and implemented many significant events including the Opening Night of the San Francisco Symphony.
Barbara Tavrow earned her B.A. in English and Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley and her M.A. in Secondary Education from San Jose State University.

These fine professionals developed and mounted a major community-wide fundraising campaign (the first ever for this organization). They planned and executed a “Quiet Campaign” to solicit major gifts -- raising $9M in pledges in six months -- and continued to work with HHC for three years, helping us to develop our own internal development function and marketing communications programs.
These consultants convinced our Board, a dedicated, cautious group, that a Campaign was the right approach and the outcome validated their recommendation. Over $4 million was raised in less than one year that allowed our 40 year-old school to acquire the new property, plan to add a pre-school literacy program, and infused the beginning of a culture of fundraising at The Children’s Storefront.
In less than two years, Barbara Tavrow has done a feasibility study that cultivated donors, planned a campaign to renovate our theatre, and raised more than $4 million towards this effort.
